Campegine (RE), 5 June 2026
Eight hundred workers joining the group directly, the artworks commissioned for our sites and the building site for staff housing all answer the same choice: staying where we were founded and growing together with the area that has accompanied our history.
On 5 June 2026, at our Campegine (RE) headquarters, we presented the development plan we are working on: the people who work in our warehouses, the area we operate in and the industrial investment that supports both.
The direction is the one we have followed for years: hiring directly and staying rooted here, at a time when many industrial businesses are choosing to offshore or to outsource.
Hiring 800 people: a pact with the local area
At the center of the day was the direct entry of 800 workers into Snatt Logistica S.p.A. and Snatt S.r.l., effective from 1 May 2026. People who had been working for companies engaged under service contracts became full members of the group, with the protections of the national logistics collective agreement, access to the sector’s bilateral bodies and a path of continuous training and specialization.
“The 800 workers are now an integral part of our group, with all the rights and the opportunities that this brings. It is a choice we believe in deeply,” said Giovanni Fagioli, President of Snatt Logistica.
To mark the transition we opened a permanent FIT-CISL union representation space inside the group, built together with FIT-CISL Emilia-Romagna and the local institutions. The ceremony opened with an address by Vincenzo Colla, Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, in the presence of local institutions and of the FIT-CISL regional secretary Aldo Cosenza. Children from the fourth and fifth year classes of the Campegine primary school attended on behalf of the schools.
A choice inside an industrial development plan
This decision does not stand on its own: it is part of an industrial development plan whose aim is to improve our operational performance and to give clients a more reliable service.
Over recent years we have renewed the management team, the digital tools and the plant, taking on new automation projects. In 2025 we installed an AutoStore system in Italy which, with phase two already under way, will become the second largest in the country; at our Hong Kong site we started up a Geek+ goods-to-person warehouse. Running them is a proprietary WMS, Logistica.Net, developed in-house over more than thirty years.
Plant on this scale required us to rethink the operational chain and the organization of work. This is where hiring the 800 people becomes necessary rather than symbolic: more automation means more qualified roles, and more qualified roles call for stable employment and for skills that stay inside the company. Technology does not replace people’s work: it makes it more skilled.
Patronage: art as a manifesto of values
During the day we also presented the latest works from the patronage program we have supported for years. At the Caprara site, a large mural by Daniele Castagnetti (who works as Mister DADA), produced with Luca Pasqualin, depicts the relationship between human thought and technology, between the hand that works and the system that supports it: it is the visual manifesto of the values we work by. At the Castelnovo di Sotto site we unveiled a mosaic by Alfonso Borghi.
The first stone of the Housing project
The day closed with the laying of the first stone by Snatt President Giovanni Fagioli, together with Vincenzo Colla, Vice President of the Region, and Francesco Monica, Mayor of Castelnovo di Sotto: old buildings next to the workplaces will become apartments for operational staff. The project is our own initiative and is funded by us. Living close to where you work, in a decent setting designed around people, changes daily life for the people who work in our warehouses. That is why we also deal with housing, welfare, mobility and personal services: it is how we read our role in the community we operate in.
The direction we are sticking to
On 5 June we were not celebrating a milestone. We confirmed choices we have been making for years and will keep investing in: the people who work with us, the places where we work and the clients who trust us with their products. A company only truly grows when it grows together with the community it belongs to.

Frequently asked questions
What did Snatt Logistica present on 5 June 2026?
At our Campegine (RE) headquarters we presented the development plan we are working on: 800 workers joining the group directly, the artworks commissioned for our sites and the laying of the first stone of the Housing project for staff. Three announcements that answer the same choice: staying where we were founded and growing together with the area.
Who are the 800 people hired, and since when have they been part of the group?
They are people who had been working for companies engaged under service contracts, and they became full members of Snatt Logistica S.p.A. and Snatt S.r.l. on 1 May 2026, with the protections of the national logistics collective agreement, access to the sector's bilateral bodies and a path of continuous training and specialization. On the same day we opened a permanent FIT-CISL union representation space inside the group.
Why does more automation lead to hiring rather than cutting staff?
Because plant on this scale calls for more qualified roles, and more qualified roles call for stable employment and for skills that stay inside the company. In 2025 we installed an AutoStore system in Italy which, with phase two under way, will become the second largest in the country, and at our Hong Kong site we started up a Geek+ goods-to-person warehouse. Running them is Logistica.Net, our own WMS developed in-house over more than thirty years. Technology does not replace people's work: it makes it more skilled.
What is Snatt's Housing project?
Old buildings next to the workplaces will become apartments for operational staff. The project is our own initiative and is funded by us, and the first stone was laid on 5 June 2026 together with the Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Mayor of Castelnovo di Sotto. Living close to where you work, in a setting designed around people, changes daily life for the people who work in our warehouses.
